A 128-year-old fountain nicknamed "The Ladies" returned to its former glory after a major restoration project.  The fountain was erected in 1887 and cost $4,000. It was a gift to St. Albans from John Gregory Smith.  The fountain was cast and built by the J.W. Fisk company in New York City. The original molds were bought by Robinson Iron Alabama.
